Intelligent Multipath Transport and Cost-Aware Optimization Built for Maritime Networks
When connectivity shifts, Weaver stays steady.
Connectivity at sea is never static. As vessels move, radio coverage gradually fades, satellite performance fluctuates, and latency and packet loss shift from one moment to the next.
Conventional enterprise networking technologies were designed for stable terrestrial environments. Maritime operations require something fundamentally different – a transport layer engineered to adapt continuously to changing conditions.
NOWHERE CONNECT WEAVER is purpose-built for life at sea.
It combines maritime-optimized multipath transport with built-in real-time link intelligence merging radio, LTE/5G, LEO and GEO satellite connections into one seamless, encrypted and intelligently managed connectivity layer.
Radio First. Satellite When Needed.
For most operations, vessels rely on Nowhere Networks’ land-based radio network – delivering low latency, strong performance and cost-efficient capacity.
Satellite technologies extend coverage beyond radio range. But satellite capacity is more expensive and should be used deliberately.
Weaver continuously evaluates:
- Radio capacity sufficiency
- Service-level requirements
- Link performance and stability
- Real-time and accumulated cost
As long as radio capacity meets SLA requirements, traffic remains on radio.
When radio capacity becomes insufficient, satellite capacity is introduced – selectively and automatically.
When radio conditions recover, satellite usage is reduced again.
This ensures reliability without uncontrolled satellite cost.
Seamless Session Continuity
Weaver operates at the session level, and dynamically moves active sessions – including video calls, cloud applications, payment systems, and VPN tunnels – between links without interruption.
- No frozen meetings.
- No dropped payment transactions.
- No broken user experience during coverage transitions.
Built for Real Maritime Conditions
Weaver mitigates the realities of maritime connectivity:
- Bursty packet loss
- Variable latency
- Congestion and asymmetry
- Rapid coverage shifts
Using Forward Error Correction, packet recovery mechanisms and multipath orchestration, Weaver maintains stable throughput even when underlying links degrade.
Security by Design
All traffic is:
- End-to-end encrypted (ChaCha20-Poly1305, 256-bit)
- Cryptographically signed
- Isolated per tunnel and traffic class
Even if the underlying bearer network is unstable, the encrypted overlay remains secure.
Performance at Scale
- 1 Gbps throughput on standard hardware
- 10,000 concurrent sessions
- <100 ms tunnel recovery after route changes
- Optional static public IP per vessel
The Foundation of the Nowhere Connect Suite
NOWHERE CONNECT WEAVER forms the intelligent transport layer for:
- Nowhere Connect SD-WAN
- Nowhere Connect Shaper
- Crew and Guest connectivity
- Secure vessel-to-shore integration
It transforms complex multi-bearer maritime networks into a single adaptive, predictable system.
